A documentary to save the Amazon

The documentary AMASOJA est a project which contributes to a broad dissemination of the deforestation tragedy currently happening under our eyes and help to save what's left of the Amazon territory.

The impact of this production is difficult to evaluate in as much as its distribution on international documentary markets is currently undergoing.

On the economical plan, the stakes are so crucial, facing the prosperity dreams of big landowners, that we can only hope that we will contribute to international sensibilisation and that Aquaverde can collect enough funds in Europe to implement reaforestation programs in synergy with local communities.

The movie unveils real problems created by soja farming on the middle term on the environmental level and the eradication of primary forest, creating a creeping desertification.

Giorgio D'Imperio, founding members of Aquaverde, entirely produced and directed the documentary with the company FreeProductions.

Jean-Pierre Schwarz, founder of ANDA Reflorestamento, guided the movie team in Brazil.

The goal is to sentitize public opinion on true risks of worldwide sweet water shortage by setting up information campaigns on the deforestation catastrophy.
