Amazon Trip of Aquaverde President

During his supervision trip to the Amazon in February 2008, Aquaverde president, Thomas Pizer, could visit the reforested areas by the Surui, create links with other indigenous tribes interested by reforestation, and create partnerships with local NGOs supporting the indigenous people.

Planning discussions and unanimous agreements are capital

As is required by the Surui oral tradition, time is taken to listen and learn from indigenous wisdom, and then review of past work. Planification and agreement on this years work can then take place in trust, with all the responsible persons for the PAMINE (rebirth in Surui) reforestation programme.
