A smart development integration scheme

During the development of any new economical, technical or social activity, such as reafforestation, a historic-cultural fact should never be forgotten: it is always necessary to remember of the traumatizing change that Suruí lived, in 35 years, embarked and shaken in a storm of which they are not the authors nor in control of.

However, they are aware that mastering technology offered by today's society can come to support their fight to save their culture.
For example, a modern means of communication and highly effective, the mobile phone (here an iPhone connected to a solar charger, gift of our partner, the company Flexcell).

The modes of traditional learning methods of the Suruí are based on the concrete practice (with failures and successes).
Their confidence and their engagement in a project will be successfull only through their ongoing insertion in the necessary techniques supervised by somebody competent, and not by a preliminary training.

It is also of utmost importance for Aquaverde that the reafforestation project be their own and that the Surui People can identify to it as their creation, in relation of the message they want to give to other communities and to the whole world.

The management of the PAMINE project is headed by Almir Surui.
