The association Aquaverde was created in 2002 to support the action of Amazonian indigenous peoples in their actions to protect the primary forest still standing.
We are currently working with the Surui, Ashaninka and Puyanawa indigenous peoples in Brazil.

Corine Sombrun is the pen of Almir Narayamoga Surui, in order to tell the story of a people and the destiny of a man who has become a representative of the cause of the Suruí Indians and the safeguarding of the natural resources of the planet. Born in 1974, five years after the first white man visited the territory of the Suruí Indians in northwest Brazil, Almir Surui is considered one of the greatest indigenous activists in South America.
